Hi, I'm Iryna Shapoval — a fitness coach, former professional ballet dancer, and creator of the Functional Flexibility System.
My journey with movement began in the world of professional ballet, where discipline, precision, and body awareness were part of everyday life. Flexibility was not just a goal — it was a fundamental part of how the body functioned, moved, and expressed itself.
Over time, I transitioned into fitness coaching, working with people from very different backgrounds and levels of experience. This is where I began to notice a clear pattern — many people felt disconnected from their bodies. They trained regularly, but still experienced stiffness, tension, and limited mobility.
This contrast shaped my understanding of movement.
I realized that flexibility is often misunderstood. It’s not about pushing the body to extremes or chasing quick results. It’s about creating space, restoring balance, and allowing the body to move the way it was designed to.
This is what led me to create the Functional Flexibility System.
It is a method built on controlled movement, breathing, and awareness — helping you improve flexibility in a safe, effective, and sustainable way. The goal is not just to become more flexible, but to feel better in your body, move with ease, and build a long-term connection with how your body works.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel free in their body — regardless of age, experience, or starting point.
